그 중에서도 내가 가장 좋아하는 가사는 이것이다.

"If you never say your name out loud to anyone

"네가 사람들에게 너의 이름을 크게 말하지 않으면,

그들은 너를 절대 그것으로 부를 수 없어" 

 

수많은 사람들 틈에서 우리 자신의 정체성의 혼란을 느끼는 시간들.

우리는 우리가 무엇으로 불리우면 좋을 것 같은지를 치열하게 고민하고,

또 그것으로 우리 스스로를, 자신을 불러야 한다.

 

From time to time, we get to feel confused about our own identity while existing/working/studying/being with so many different people (or seemingly clearly identified people).

In this moment, it becomes more important to think hard about by which we want to be called.   

Furthermore, we need to call ourselves with the name that we deserve and hope to be called by. 

 

"당신의 이름으로 날 부르지 마세요!" 라고 할 수 있어야 하지 않을까. 

 

Shouldn't you be able to say, "Don't call me by your name!"
